Trump’s response to the backlash? Why, it’s the Democrats being ‘World Class Losers’ of course.
Donald Trump has hit out at the ‘crooked Democrats’ in his defense against being potentially set to receive a $400 million jumbo jet from Qatar.
This upcoming week, Trump is set to visit the Middle East, going to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates to discuss the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, alongside talking about the Saudi investment in the US and Iran’s nuclear program.
Alongside reportedly having plans to announce the US’ change in what it calls the Gulf of Persia, Trump is also rumored to receive a gift.
American officials claim the ruling family of Qatar are set to give the POTUS a luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet – a gift reportedly worth a whopping $400,000,000 which has, unsurprisingly, provoked backlash online.
Nicknamed the ‘flying palace,’ the jet is anticipated as being used by Trump as the new Air Force One jet – the 13-year-old aircraft modified to meet US military criteria.
It’s reported it will be used by Trump until he leaves office and after Trump’s second term as president comes to an end – or will it? – the jet is expected to transfer to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation, before January 1, 2029 ABC News reports.
Any costs associated with the transfer will also allegedly be covered by the US Air Force.
While the Qatari government has stated a final decision on whether the gift will be issued has not yet been made, however, that hasn’t stopped people from speaking out online – many drawing on the US Constitution’s Emoluments Clause which bars anyone holding government office from accepting any present from any foreign state without congressional consent.
Trump’s response? Well, the POTUS took to Truth Social earlier today (May 12), to write: “So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane.

Trump has hit back at any criticism of him receiving a gift
“Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!! MAGA.”
Trump’s post follows a statement issued by Qatar’s media attache, Ali Al-Ansari.
Al-Ansari said: “[The] possible transfer of an aircraft for temporary use as Air Force One is currently under consideration between Qatar’s ministry of defence and the US department of defence.
“But the matter remains under review by the respective legal departments, and no decision has been made.”

People point out major issue as Trump reportedly preparing to accept ‘$400,000,000 palace in the sky’ as gift
The POTUS is set to receive one of the most valuable gifts ever
People are pointing out there could be a major issue if the president is to accept a ‘palace in the sky’ as a gift.
The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to accept an insanely pricey, first-of-its-kind gift given to the US from a foreign government.
The luxurious Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet, that comes in at $400 million with the nickname of a ‘flying palace’, is apparently due to be handed over to the POTUS from the royal family of Qatar.
According to ABC News, Donald Trump will be able to use the plane as its new Air Force One jet until he leaves office, where it is tipped to transfer ownership into the Trump Presidential Library Foundation.

The 13-year-old aircraft will apparently be modified to meet US military criteria to transport the president and transferred to the presidential library before January 1, 2029.
Any costs associated with the transfer will also allegedly be covered by the US Air Force.
It is anticipated the grand gift will be unveiled next week when the president visits Qatar, according to sources who have been briefed in on the plans.
Trump has toured the plane before when it was parked at the West Palm Beach International Airport, Florida, in February.
However, the present is bound to raise questions over the ethics of the sitting president accepting such a valuable item from a foreign power, particularly with concerns over possible bribery.
Dozens on Reddit say their employment contracts prohibit them from accepting gifts of major value, with some saying they can’t take anything worth more than $50 worth a year.

Another Redditor said they work ‘federal adjacent’ and have a limit of $25 a year – meaning one time they had to refuse a $28 t-shirt from a supplier.
Others slammed the lavish gift as ‘bribery on the highest scale’.
“Nothing says American exceptionalism like not being able to build our own AF-1. Nothing says MAGA failure like actually accepting this as a gift,” they added.
Anticipating such backlash, sources told the news outlet that lawyers for the White House counsel’s office and the Department of Justice have already been drafted in.
Under the advice, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is reportedly to conclude that it is legal to accept the mega-jet as a gift and later hand it over to the Trump library.
It will also state that doing so does not violate any bribery laws or the Constitution’s prohibition of any US government official accepting gifts ‘from any King, Prince or foreign state’.
Sources added Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump’s own top White House lawyer David Warrington concluded it would be legally permission to receive it and transfer it to Trump’s presidential library before the end of his term.
Both the White House and the DOJ determine that, since the gift is not conditioned on any official act, it bypasses such clauses about bribery – and cannot breach the rule about foreign gifts because the plane is being given to the US Air Fore rather than any specific individual.

Why Trump believes he’s already ‘served three terms’ as president despite constitutional limit
Trump believes he’s already had ‘three victories’
Donald Trump has argued why he’s ‘actually already served three’ terms as US President but why he doesn’t ‘count’ the ‘middle term’.
Clearly, being sworn in as the President of the United States for a second time wasn’t enough for Donald Trump, as not long after he was made the 47th POTUS the 78-year-old joked about running for a third term.
It may be banned by the US constitution, but US Representative Andy Ogles later suggested making a change to the 22nd Amendment that would allow Trump to run a third time.
Former White House strategist and senior advisor to Trump in 2017, Steve Bannon, accused of doing a ‘Nazi salute’ weeks after Elon Musk was similarly accused, said they might not even necessarily need to ‘amend the constitution’ so Trump can make it a hat trick.
However, Trump has now claimed he’s ‘already served three’ – but what does he mean?
On April 29, Trump put in an appearance at a rally in Michigan to mark the first 100 days of his second term as president.
Crowds chanted ‘three’ in support of the idea of Trump making his time in office a hat trick.
And Trump responded: “Well, we actually already served three, if you count.
“But remember, I like the victories, I like the three victories which we absolutely had. I just don’t like the results of the middle term,” he continued.
Trump’s answer refers to both the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections.
The Republican indeed won the 2016 election, alongside the 2024 election, however, the 2020 election?
Well, that was Democrat Joe Biden. Although, not according to Trump, that is.

With vote counting ongoing but Biden confirmed as the 46th President by several major news outlets, Trump took to Twitter to allege voter fraud had occurred.
He wrote: “He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA. I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go. This was a RIGGED ELECTION!”
Not long after, the Capitol Riots occurred, in which five people lost their lives.
Trump was also later charged with four criminal counts – including conspiracy against the right of citizens and conspiracy to defraud the US – accused of pressuring officials to reverse the results of the elections alongside spreading misinformation.
He pleaded not guilty to all.
However, in late 2024, the federal case, among others, was ultimately dismissed at the Justice Department’s request.

Trump issues illegal migrants ‘exit bonus’ offer and ‘free flight out of our country’ in new tactic for them to ‘self-deport’
The POTUS signed an executive order that would give illegal immigrants an ‘exit bonus’ to leave the US
Donald Trump is planning to offer illegal immigrants an ‘exit bonus’ with a ‘free flight’ out of the country if they ‘self-deport’.
It’s no secret that the Trump administration is on a mission to cut immigration in the US at whatever cost.
Whether its utilizing an old 18th-century wartime law to fuel mass deportations, inflicting high tariffs on neighboring countries to encourage their cooperation in stopping migration, attempting to revoke humanitarian parole to some 500,000 people or sending migrants accused of crime into El Salvador’s mega-jail, it seems the POTUS is exploring all avenues.
Now that Trump has faced some legal backlash from the Supreme Court over some of these controversial methods, the president signed an executive order on Friday (May 9) to launch a new self-deport scheme.
The program, called ‘Project Homecoming’, will offer free government-funded flights plus a financial incentive for illegal immigrants who volunteer to leave the country.

The order stipulates ‘illegal aliens’ have a choice: to willingly leave ‘with federal support and financial assistance’ or ‘face strict enforcement and penalties’.
Those who choose to self-deport can do so via a new CBP Home app which the order states provides ‘government-funded flights at no cost’ to migrants without legal status in the US, including those who lack valid travel documents.
The app even offers a ‘concierge service’ at airports in the US to help them book travel and claim their ‘exit bonus’.
They don’t even need to return to their home country either, as the president said they can go ‘anywhere’ in the world, ‘as long as it’s not here’.
Announcing the move, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “Today, I signed an Executive Order to launch the first-ever self-deportation program. Illegal aliens who stay in America face punishments, including – sudden deportation, in a place and manner solely of our discretion. TO ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS: BOOK YOUR FREE FLIGHT RIGHT NOW!”
In a video, the president explained: “We are making it as easy as possible for illegal aliens to leave America.
“Any illegal alien can simply show up at an airport and receive a free flight out of our country.”

He continued: “We have also launched a phone app called CBP Home, that’s CBP Home, where illegals can book a free flight to any foreign country. As long as it’s not here, you can go anywhere you want.”
Talking about the financial boost, Trump said the ‘exit bonus’ is to ‘further incentivize their self-deportation’.
“This deportation bonus will save American taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” he continued.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) indicated earlier this week that the ‘exit bonus’ would come to around $1,000 per person, which they will receive once their arrival to their chosen country has been confirmed in the app.
“Eventually, when the illegals are gone, it will save us trillions of dollars,” Trump added.
As for migrants who pass up on the opportunity, Trump issued a stark warning that they will be met with aggressive punishment.
He warned: “However, if illegal aliens choose to remain in America, they’re remaining illegally and they will face severe consequences.
“Illegal aliens who stay in America face punishments, including significant jail time, enormous financial penalties, confiscation of all property, garnishment of all wages, imprisonment and incarceration and sudden deportation in place and manner solely of our discretion.”
“So, to all illegal aliens, book your free flight right now. We want you out of America, but if you’re really good, we’re gonna try and help you get back in,” Trump concluded.

Staggering amount Trump has spent in first 100 days despite move to cut spending
The Trump administration has spent a huge amount of cash despite pledging to cut back on government spending
Donald Trump may have said that he wants to ‘make America rich again’, but his administration is seemingly spending more than ever.
One of the key parts of Trump’s campaign was his promises to cut back on government expenditure, even recruiting Elon Musk to head his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
As of today (April 30), DOGE claims to have made $160 billion in savings which have come from a ‘combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions’, as per its website.
The figures advertised on the site have never been verified, however.
One thing DOGE doesn’t say on its website is how much they, and other departments within government, have spent — and it turns out this figure is more than it has saved.

According to analysis by CBS News, Trump has spent drastically more money in his first 100 days in office compared to the same period last year — $220 billion more, to be precise.
The news outlet looked at the Treasury Department’s daily financial reports to get this figure.
CBS News says that ‘many of the largest persistently rising costs are direct payments to the military and seniors’.
So far this year, on Veteran Affairs Benefits the government has reportedly spent over $52 billion.
With the government’s apparent spending habits in mind, it’s thought that America’s debt is now at an eye-watering $36.2 trillion — if correct, this makes DOGE’s reported $160 billion in savings just a drop in the ocean.

Elsewhere it has been said that it cost US taxpayers $135 billion this fiscal for the Musk-headed agency to save the supposed figure of $160 billion.
A big chunk of this is thought to have come from culling thousands of several federal employees.
Max Stier, president of the Partnership for Public Service, said of this: “We haven’t seen much focus on the waste [DOGE] is creating. This is an effort that was created to address waste, but we were seeing the opposite.”
But Trump has described the mass firings as a way of ‘getting rid of the fat’ that the country is ‘riddled’ with.
“We’re getting down to a point we think probably over the next two or three months, we’ll be pretty much satisfied with the people that are working hard and want to be members of the administration and our country,” he said at the end of March, The Independent reported.
“Our country was riddled with fat, and we’re getting rid of the fat,” he added.
